The Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Amman offers full-time internships for graduate and postgraduate students interested in the socioeconomic and political development of Jordan and Iraq, as well as climate, energy, and other cross-cutting issues.
At FES Amman, as an intern you will gain insight into the day-to-day works of an international political organization. Tasks vary based on your background and interests as well as FES Amman’s ongoing projects and office activities, yet they usually range from administrative, operational, and research tasks to helping facilitate FES projects and events.
In some cases, the intern can take part in events and activities during working hours, also in the evenings and on weekends, this might include duty trips within Jordan.
Eligible applicants for an internship at FES should meet the following criteria:
The typical duration of the internship ranges from two to three months and it comes with compensation. (the candidates must choose which month(s) they can start).Any expenses relating to visa and flights, insurance, accommodation, and meals cannot be covered by FES. Working hours are Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 - 17:00.
