FES is searching for a Program Manager for the Climate and Energy Project in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) with a focus on Energy. The full-time position is based in Amman, Jordan. Candidates should be available from 1 October 2023 or as agreed.
Who we are:
The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is a non-profit organization committed to the values of social democracy and is the oldest of Germany’s political foundations. In Jordan, FES opened its office in 1986 with the aim to promote democracy and political participation, to support progress towards social justice and gender equality as well as to contribute to ecological sustainability and peace and security in the region.
The Climate and Energy Project MENA is hosted by FES Amman and runs its activities across the MENA region with governments and civil society organizations. The current strategy focuses on a just energy transition, climate justice as well as social and sustainable cities in the MENA region.
The Program Manager will work within a regional team under the direct supervision of the Director of the Climate and Energy Project MENA.
